Anticipating the Impact of Health Care Reform on the Criminal Justice System

Published by the National Association for Court Management (NACM) in Court Manager (Spring 2013, Vol. 27, Issue 4), the article focuses on the implications and opportunities of health care reform for criminal justice systems, particularly with regard to enrolling individuals who are in court or on probation in health coverage.

The article was co-authored by Peter Coolsen, court administrator for the Criminal Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County (encompasses Chicago, Illinois), and Maureen McDonnell, director of health care strategy for Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities (TASC) of Illinois.
